Work began on the pitch at Scanlon Park back in June when it was sprayed and continued through July. To date over 250 tons of sand has been spread to level the pitch and help with drainage. The pitch has been cut regularly which will need to continue in order to maintain its upkeep.

The car park has also been completely cleared with the help of the county council.

I think we can all agree it looks smashing!

After being approached by members of the committee Councillor Sean Hartigan proposed to the Limerick County Council Committee that the council note the intention of LCCC to increase the lease of Lisnagry soccer club pitch in Scanlan Park to 99 years. This was unanimously passed by the councillors and will now proceed to the full Council meeting. Hopefully when passed this will enable the club to secure much needed funding from Sports Ireland in order to begin the redevelopment of the Scanlon Park Site.

Tickets now on sale for the Cheltenham preview night fundraiser for the club ... a really great lineup! Should be a fun night and a great chance to catch up! Only €10 a ticket and an important step towards what are hopefully big changes for Lisnagry FC as your local soccer club 🙂 ... we are currently trying, with the help of local council, to get the lease of Scanlon Park extended so we can apply for sports capital funding and improve our facilities ! Contact any of the coaches for tickets and spread the word !! Many thanks in advance for your continued support! 😀👍🏻⚽️
